I normally use Sony Vegas but I got ahold of Premiere 2.0 pro and After Effects CS3. So far I have peeked into AE and see alot of the same type of transistions, media generations and what not. but i also see alot of things i've never seen before. I was self taught in Vegas and of course ill be self taught in AE. I see all the free tutorials in the thread above, but those seem too advanced for me...anyone know where i find some beg tutorials wiothout dropping $100?

thanks,
Rich

I'm actually working on getting a few basic tutorials for FCP, AE, Color, and such online soon - within the next month ideally. Primarily for students at Ithaca college.

If you want me to include anything in-particular, let me know, I will add it to my list of things to tackle. What would you want to see for a basic AE tutorial?

And yeah, kramer is amazing at his tutorials, I learned about the program from him.

Let me check out the above tutorials first. I havent really dabbled in AE at all...I understand what a time line is and what certain effects do...but like in Vegas it had an audio and video timeline...and all i could find was the video timelinein AE. So if that tells you anything about my AE expereince :)

So Basic :)

Thanks for the info guys.

downloaded them all to try at home...I started checking out one...WOW these look amazing...thanks again.

Finished the tutorila section for Basic....loved them!!!! Crisp, clear and easy to follow!!!! I diud have another quesiotn though. In his Chromo Keying section(green screen) he talked about a keylight plugin...can i get that off his site for free or is that a pay plugin?

Also any good sites for free/play plugins?

thanks,
Rich
