Hi Y'all. Just got my HVX so I had to make my "first day out with the HVX" post. Don't worry Bee it was just a dream the HVX is here. Did'nt really know what I was doing - Bee is slightly underexposed - but figured out all the formats (native 720 mode rocks) and the intervalometer. FCP 5.1 works great btw. Try to download movie to your drive rather than stream. server a little on the slow side. thanks. 22MB. Downrezzed to half size at 640 x 360. H.264 compression.

Some cute stuff. I love filming moving clouds as well. I think you could tweak the footage on the cat a bit. Looks a little flat. Still, nice stuff.

Thats' the thing. I'd like to not tweak at all (someday) so you can see the true image. But then again,... that's why I got 4:2:2 was to tweak, so screw it. I bumped up the levels a bit on the cat and reposted. Same link and filename.

How do you guys export for the web. H.264?

You know what? That was pretty cool! Most people just shoot random stuff and clip it together as random stuff. You actually made a little flik out of it. Nicely done.

Love your cat by the way-

How come you don't like to tweak out of curiosity. Isn't tweaking reality, in one form or another, what cinematography and art is all about? Besides, like you said, if you're paying for that DVCPro50 codec enjoy it.

Oh just some carzy purist mode I try to subscribe to when it comes to posting to this forum. I feel if I color correct I'm cheating fellow DVXusers who want to see the bare bones capabilities of the camera and it's operator.

However, when it comes to a client who gives me money for a nice hot look...then it's an entirely different story. Qui?
