Hello Everyone,
I am selling a great filter that I no longer need. This is a diffusion filter made by Tiffen. It is the Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/8. The effect of using this filter is awesome. It gives you the near minimum amount of diffusion that truly achieves a nice film look (no BS with this claim). It reduces/eliminates blemishes on actors faces but doesn't sacrifice your capability to keep sharp focus. I bought this new from B&H Photo Video in 2007. I was actually at the NY City store and I flipped out when looking at the results that this filter can produce.
This filter is glass and measures 4 x 4. Those who have matte boxes with filter holders that can accomodate this size filter will now be able to very simply achieve a beautiful film look. The glass is in perfect condition. I have double checked and it is flawless. I have always stored it in the protective Tiffen pouch, which you will receive with the filter.
Those who are using an anamorhpic adapter, but who do not have a matte box/filter holder, may still be able to use this filter. This would be a DIY adaption of the filter that is described by Barry Green in his DVXBook in the section on Anamorhpic Adapters and Filters. This DIY adaptation would require you to shave the corners of the filter just a bit to allow the filter to be placed in the front of the anamorphic adapter. You then would need to form some method of securing the filter over the lens (I believe Barry referred to someone who was using Velcro strips.) If you take this DIY route, please make sure this is will work properly as I don't have experience with this type of adaptation and can only quote Barry Green from the DVXBook. Proceed at your own risk on this DIY adaptation.
SO HERE'S THE DEAL - 1ST REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE ACCEPTED.
BONUS - I ALSO HAVE A 4X4 LINEAR POLARIZER THAT I WILL GIVE YOU FOR FREE (THIS IS THE CAVISION FTGX4X4PL, AND IT TOO IS IN PERFECT CONDITION AND IN IT'S PROTECTIVE POUCH).
2ND BONUS - I WILL SHIP THESE BOTH TO YOU FOR FREE.
MAKE ME AN OFFER THAT'S REASONABLE AND IT'S YOURS!
Thanks,
Matt Greenhut
