You are looking at a beautiful Beaulieu 4008 ZM II Super 8mm Film Camera Sync Sound Production Kit.

It comes with:
Beaulieu 4008 ZMII camera
Schneider-Kreuznach Optivaron 6-66mm f/1.8 power zoom lens & lens cap
metal lens sunshade with sunshade lens cap
filter key
the Film Group crystal sync control unit & instructions
external 800 mA battery NiCd battery pack (with wall charger) and Beaulieu external battery connector mounted on camera (easily unscrewed if you wish to use an original Beaulieu internal pack)
user manual
Calumet MC 85 filter
original collectible Beaulieu leather hard case with shoulder strap

If you are looking for a quality Super8 camera, look no further! The previous owner had it professionally maintained by world renowned Beaulieu technician Bjorn Andersson (he replaced the image prism, lubed and cleaned the mechanics, replaced the built-in daylight/UV filter, adjusted the film speed, recalibrated the electronics and exposure, replaced the viewfinder eyecup, etc). I bought the camera in top condition and outfitted it with a filter to protect the lens. It was then modded for crystal sync production by Du-All Camera of New York City. I used it for one short film production in the Summer of 2008. For safekeeping, I have always stored in a Pelican hard case (not included). Since I don't have plans to use it again anytime soon, it is looking for a new home! I have tested the motor and the variable-speed power zoom and they work perfectly.

It cost me over $1700 to set up this amazing kit. Crystal sync modification alone costs over $600.

Beautiful camera! I had the same one 25yrs ago. Not sure if I had the same lens or an Angenieux. It looked like a futuristic ray gun. I shot a doc in China with it and then sold it to a film student.

I had one of those:( I would love that camera but I don't think it would see much use. I am actually setting up my 5D to look the same, handle on the bottom eye piece and such. Ah, so tempting. It is too bad you need to sell it.

What kinda handle are you using for the 5D?

Yea, it's a great but just not cost effective right now...

I know. I actually have an old SLIK shoulder stock/desktop tripod I bought 30 years ago when I was shooting super8. I am still amazed that after countless moves and everything that happens in someones life that I still have it. I think it will be buried with me.

Free bump for a beautiful cam.

Sorry Rahn, I just so your post. I have a STEADICAM gig coming up so right now I have my 5D on my FLYER for practice. I'll take a photo sometime today and show ya. Later. Still thinking about this camera being mine!!

Yeah, that is the 30 year old shoulder mount that I bought when I first started film school waaaaaaaaaay back when. It still works. That is the hoodman loupe on the 5d. It works well enough
but it needs to be modified before it hold properly. I just threw in the steadicam pic for fun. The 5d is so light I will need to add weight to it:)

That steadicam is a beast!!
The shoulder mount is so simple and elegant. As part of my next spending spree :D I think I'll look into setting it up like that.

Interesting. Going to be selling my Beaulieu also. Not Crystal sync though.
I'd like to know what you get for yours.
