BeachTek DXA-6VU, no longer needed. This is an older model designed to add XLR inputs and other features to camcorders such as the Sony FX1000, FX1, etc. It may work with some DSLRs, but was not designed for them. Works well, slightly scratched on the bottom, but looks good. Built like a tank. Includes user manual.


  • Dual Transformer Balanced XLR Inputs
  • Phantom Power Provides Regulated 48 volts for Two Condenser Microphones
  • Bright, Seven Segment LED level meters for precise level set
  • Auxiliary mini-jack input

One 9 volt alkaline battery required for LED level meters. No AGC disable, headphone jack or preamps.

How do you monitor the audio with this, don't see a headphone jack - this would be a deal breaker for me.
 
Hi Richard,

You use the built-in LED meters for visual reference, combined with the headphone jack on your camera to monitor the sound being recorded. If you have no headphone jack on your camera/camcorder, then this is not for you. I used this unit with a Sony CX550V camcorder.
