It's cheesy as all hell and won't be winning me any technical awards anytime soon. It's one of those interesting moments some run into where you take all your expertise and experience and throw it away because the client is asking you to make it cheap looking. Believe it or not, it was harder than I thought. The most difficult part was de-programming my brain when something looked "quality". But I figure I'd post it as a laugh. Big Sponsor, Big Artist, Big Ad Campaign - low fi look. Go figure. Can't say much more about behind the scenes as it may get me in trouble. Eitherway, it's another notch on the HVX. Also, it's unbelievable what Absolut is doing with this - the campaign is huge, everywhere on the subway, magazines, billboards, TV, etc. They actually used frame grabs from the HVX for print campaign.
Kudos to
Dave Herman (for directing)
Nick Sasso (for Flame Magic)
Timur (for camera wrangling)
