Bayonet to Nikon / Canon adapters

Hi,
Does anybody use the bayonet to Canon and/or Nikon adapter rings?
I assume there's no advantage in DOF (as a relay lens would do to a
DOF adapter). I suppose if you just really like the glass, it might make
sense??

It's mainly for macro and long telephoto work, as the focal lengths commonly available in SLR lenses will translate to much smaller fields of view on the HPX300's 1/3" sensor.

For instance, a 50mm lens on the HPX300 will have the same field of view as a (roughly) 360mm lens on a full-frame SLR.

As you said, there's no change in DOF between ENG and SLR lenses (at the same focal length) on the HPX.
