Ok, I'm about to finally purchase an HD100... trouble is the battery... like I've said before, I'ma need this thing on looooong shoots. The anton bauer thing seems like a ripoff... seems like it's just about 2k to get an 8 hours worth of shooting time with them... I heard about a deal with IDX for about 1000 but I haven't been able to find anything substantial... Can someone please for the love of sweet mercy throw me a bone as to the battery situation? I can afford to pay 1k or lower... I know not everyone is spending thousands on these battery packages... Mr. Barry recently mentioned an IDX battery pack but JVC didn't really know what I was talking about. Can someone please help here on the battery front.

I bought the Anton Bauer mount, and then got Swit batteries and charger at a considerable savings. The each 88Whr Swit battery lasts at least 5 hours in the cold. If you are in a tropical environment you can probably get even more out of them.
I think my total investment for mount, a 2-battery charger and 2 88Whr batteries was around $1000 Canadian.
