battery

I've bought a few non Canon LP-E6 over the years and they've all had issues. They don't last as long when you first get them, and they become unusable much sooner than any of the Canons. Over the past couple years I've just been buying Canon batteries and couldn't be happier with them.
If you buy an off brand for half the price of a Canon, and it only lasts half as long, are you really saving any money? In my case, all the off brand batteries have been a complete waste of money.

I use these: http://www.lacolorpros.com/product/?LPE6N-LP-E6-Fully-Decoded-Battery-for-Canon-5D-6D-7D-60D-70D

In my experience, I've found that they don't last as long as the LP-E6s. They cost a third of the price. However, they last far longer than a third of the LP-E6.

In theory, you save a bit of money, but at the same time, you have to worry about how long the batteries will last. I normally use the Canon batteries first and then the third party ones as backups, if needed.
