Help! Sometime ago I posted that I had a problem with a 54 Ma Panasonic battery where it had cracked around the seam above where the base contacts the camera/charger. (This is where the join of the battery case is.) Well now I have discovered that the same thing has happened to my other battery. Now I’m sure that I haven’t dropped both batteries! It is really strange and a pain that they have both cracked around the same seam.
1 Has anyone else heard of or had this problem?
2 Are the cells enclosed inside the hard plastic case as I am concerned about electrolyte leaking out or something nasty happening?
I have a hard Storm case with the batteries sitting out of the foam by about 1/2 an inch but the foam on top of the case does not show any compression marks.
It has got me beat.
