Battery Charger Strange Issue Help

I bought two extra extended batteries for the DVX100b from BH, the CGAd54s, I am trying to charge them on the charger that came with the camera and get a strange issue. They charge (with the green light on) for about 15 minutes than go red. I check them in the camera, obviously they arent charged. However the original battery that came with the camera seems to charge on the charger without a problem.

Do you have to charge the batteries as soon as you get them? Or do you think I simply have a faulty charger, or does the charger that come with the camera not charge these batteries, help please...

This is exactly my problem with the battery that came with the used (100 hr.) DVX100b.

Does this mean the battery is dead/dying? (or the charger!) After an overnight charge, the light is out in the morning but battery only shows 1/2 charge. I put it back in the charger and green light goes out after about 2 minutes.

Sorry to drag up an old post, but couldn't find a posted answer and have my first shoot on in 4 days!
Thanks!

It could be the charger.. I use afermarket batteries, but do these ones have the weird switch on the back like the stock 90 min battery? Try flipping it and re-charging...

It could be the charger. I would also check the four golden pins on each of the batteries to make sure that they're all even. If one of them looks uneven then the battery is unrepairable. If it were one of our SCPAN-6000 batteries we would change it out within one year but Panasonic only has a 10-day warranty on there batteries. You may need to check with B&H to see if they would swap them out for you.
