Robbie Comeau

Como's back. back again
im about to go get my dvx that i have been wantng for abour 5 or 6 months. Now i obv. have to charge it. Since i have been waiting so long, i dont wanna have ot come home, charge it, and stare att it for the whole night and not use it. How long do u have to charge it? with cell phones i get,i do the 24 hour charge, and let it completely die twice . Now thats with lithium. How long should i charge my dvx100b for?

Thanks

i believe the lithium ion batts for the dvx are designed to not develop a "battery memory". so, if you'd like you could throw the batt right on. it may not last it's full life, but you should be able to get a few jolly's off before it dies!! :) the new batts for the dvx100b last a really really long time on a full charge. i believe it's close to 5 hours..... (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

this is what was said about the new dvx100b battery.

"Finally, last but not least, the DVX100B ditches the old CGR-D16 battery (which lasts for around 90 minutes) and replaces it with the massive, magnificent CGR-D54, a battery that can drive the camera for nearly five and a half hours. The DVXuser Batteries also fit and work well with the B."

and here is the link where i got my info:

i hope that helps some.....
