Batteries

I have just purchased a small Sony DV camcorder which has a standard battery, I have also purchased a new 8 hour battery. I have used both batteries & was wondering in what state to leave them in ( No wise cracks you lot like Colorado:grin: ) if I am not going to use them for a couple of weeks - should I run the camera till the battery is flat?

I also use a bunch of rechargable AA batteries, will I do them damage using a fast charger ( half hour charger ).

I also need a AA battery tester - can anyone recommend a good one

Always store batteries fully charged. If you don't use them for extended periods of time, before using discharge and recharge them. I'm not a big fan of fast chargers, use it only if you're in a hurry and make sure the batteries don't overheat - that's what kills them.
