EDIT: We have an HDC-SD1 here and it uses VW-VBG130 batteries. Would those be compatible with the HMC150?

Shouldn't work, the hmc150 uses a special new type of battery which can dislpay the time in minutes accuratley... Although with this new "feature" it makes it so only panasonic can provide batteries (for now) which i'm sure they are just fine with ;)

Exactly, they are not compatible with the HMC.

The insert marks are not at the same places on the battery, so it wont fit. I have a DVX100 and a HMC.

you should be able to use all HVX, HMC, DVX battery's. they are all the same.

edite: oops, my bad. looks like the HMC battaries doesn't

I shaved the corners of my PV-GS300 battery and it slid right in. But when I turned on the HMC, it powered on, then the LCD screen said that the battery will not work.

My understanding is that the DVX batteries will work with the HVX200a and the HPX170, but not the HMC150. I've not heard of anyone that's been able to get the DVX batteries to work with the HMC150.

Alright, how about this...we have an HDC-SD1 here and it uses VW-VBG130 batteries. Would those be compatible with the HMC150?

Yes, it's a smaller battery similar to the included VW-VBG260.

As I said, no, they are NOT THE SAME. I have both batteries and cameras.

Funny to know that!! Now we know that the difference is even more than the insert marks!
