Thanks for all the great comments. We still have a way to go before completion, but we're excited with the look and feel of the film so far.

As for why we are doing it? We were in between film projects and a few guys I know who own costumes were really pushing me to do a fan film.

The really cool thing about putting together a short based on BATMAN is the built in fan base. People can't get enough of good, well shot BATMAN stories.

Plus, it's just fun.

The costume costs well over $ 2,000. The cowl is foam rubber and is molded off the Christian Bale sculpt from Batman Begins. Madison Crafton, the owner of the costume, has been "Batman" for the past year and travels to Comic Conventions everywhere in the US.
 
I thought the same thing. The blue rim and color was sweet but it was way too much light splashed on it and without patterns or anything to break it up.
 
yeah, I would consider spending a LOT of time mixing the sound, just some criticism from one filmmaker to another

Looks beautiful though, I'm just used to a camera moving more, you recreated the look of the films, but the movement of the camera doesn't match what I'd want from a Batman film
