batch export wont let me change quality to 50% ??? Help Please

Im trying to batch export in final cut 7 and when i try to edit the setting and put the quality to 50% it goes right back up to 100% and when i type 50% in and export the file is still way to big . Any ideas .

Im in florida with limited internet connection so im trying to size down vide files so they will upload to youtube faster. need help bad
 
Your not using "compressor"?
You can customize those settings very easily. Im not to sure about batch out of FCP since I usally do a RAW export, then drop that file/s into Compressor and apply my needed encoding settings.
 
ProRes does not allow you to adjust the quality, even if you see the slider there. If you need to create a smaller ProRes file, use a lower version like ProRes LT or Proxy.
 
i used h.264 and got the quality down to make it a smaller file. i just wish i had faster internet. i dont have time to sit in a coffee shop or anything for a 3 hour upload.
