batch change fps of GH-1 files?

I'm looking to batch change the fps of my 25fps PAL GH-1 files, into 24p (23.975) - I'm not looking to re-render the files, simply change the headers so that the files play back at 23.975. Is there a software that can do this in batch?

Thanks

In Premiere I believe you can mark several clips and change fps under interpret footage.

I've been doing this and never thought it was the proper way to do it because it was to easy. so this way is "correct" in the proper workflow sense? because you can import two of the same file in premier, change the fps for one of them but the original is left untouched.

Changing the fps of an .mts file is not a trivial operation. MTS files are stream files, there is no header, you need to demux it adjust the time stamps and probably some fields in the payload and then remux it back to a transport stream. I don't think something like this currently exists.

wow I didn't know this would be such a hard thing to do. changing 25p to 24p is pretty standard within the industry, just slow it down.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? Perhaps convert the .MTS files to a different format and then batch convert them to 24p?

Someone mentioned cineform - I'm not aware that any of their products batch convert files from 25p to 24p - which product are you talking about?a

Use Cineform to transcode, then use "Interpret Footage" in Premiere, like editman said.

The OP said that he didn't want to "re-render" the files, though. I wonder why.

Thanks :) I was about to buy NeoHD to do the job ($500!).. but I think I'll see if I can use NeoScene ($130) and that frame rate changer. Thanks,

Matt
