GH2 Basic question

Having just upgraded to the GH2, I am stuck at a very simple problem. After I turn the dial to 'creative movie mode', pressing the menu/set button allows me to choose between the four movie modes (24p, variable, HBR and manual). However, the up/down cursor keys are grayed out so I cannot navigate to the other menu items (motion picture menu, custom menu, setup, 'my menu', playback). Is this a feature? How do I get to assign my settings to one of the C1/2/3 buttons without having access to the custom menu?

I'm sure I'm missing something very simple here.

choose the Mode you want press "set" then use the left jog button to take you back to other menu settings.

Thanks for the reply. When I press set, it goes back to live view and away from the menu. If I press the left jog button (assume you mean the one called 'fn2'), it goes to the cinema/ smooth modes setting. If I press 'menu/set' instead of the left jog button, it goes back to the four movie modes, with other menu items visible but inaccessible.

Once you have selected the movie mode you want, you do go back to live view. You then need to press the menu button again and scroll over to the left most menu. Your original selection remains unaffected. So yes, it's a two step process.

Oh GEEZ!!
Thanks!!!

I was in the same bucket of confusion over this same thing so I had just given up on being able to use the C1/C2/C3 for 24P settings.

D'oh!
