Basic Editing Guide...

I was just wondering if someone has already posted just a very basic guide to editing with the HMC150, specifically in FCP 6.0.5. Ive read up on it and theres a lot of people posting little small things but I was just wondering if there was a complete compilation of the basics to getting started using your HMC150 footage in FCP. I've been looking with no luck. I know bits and pieces and think I'll probably be fine but a small guide would be cool too.

Just sort of the do's and do nots in a common format (720p/24), nothing too advance. I guess my main reason for this is when I had my DVX100b there were little things you had to do, either converting codecs or doing frame pulldowns for true 24fps ect. thanks in advance.

Elmy,
I just got the camera a few weeks ago. And I've been reading every single thread in this forum.

This is the way I've been 'editing' in Final Cut Pro.
I don't know if this is the correct way, but I've had no problems so far:

I have a Mac Book Pro.
Mac OS 10.5.6
Processor 2.2 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Transfering footage to laptop:
I open Final Cut Pro (6.0.5)
Open Log and Transfer window (File / Log & Transfer)
I click on the top-left hand side icon (the one on that has a folder and a plus sign)
A new window opens up, I select my SD Card which is already on the desktop (I have a USB transcend card reader were I connect the SD card, and it shows like a drive on the desktop).
I select the drive in its entirely.
Then I wait some seconds (sometimes like 60) for all the clips to appear on the Log & Trasnfer window. (I don't know if this is normal. I guess not, it should be real time, right?).
Then I select each clip I want to transfer, and click the "add selection to queue".
Then wait for clip to transfer.
When it's done, I start editing as any normal FCP project.
I've been running everything from an 800 firewire drive, and so far the laptop hasn't had any issues. It works perfectly.

How are you working?
