Baseplate with DSLR

I'm close to selling my 35mm adapter, for which I have a full set of Zacuto rails and a baseplate. Is the baseplate of any use to me with a DSLR?

My intuition is that it is longer than it is wide and would be unwieldy under a DLSR, but I thought I'd ask in case someone here has tried it.

You can technically still use it, problem is that your DSLR can possibly "twist" out of place. I have a RedRock DSLR baseplate, that I love. You can possibly look into that.
