Baseplate and Rods for the AF100

I'm looking to start building out my kit for my AF100 and would like a baseplate for 15mm LW rods (that I could use with an OConnor O-Box, a follow focus, possible Ki Pro Mini in the future etc.).

There don't seem to be many baseplates available yet SPECIFICALLY for the AF100, beyond the Hot Rod X-Baseplate. (e.g. no word yet on an adapter for the ARRI MPB-1 or MBP-2, no AF100-specific baseplates from the other usual manufacturers).

Anyone know of any other baseplates that you'd recommend?

Are there any owners of the Hot Rod X-Baseplate here that can comment on it? (Quality, usability)

Thanks!

By the way, what do you use on the back of your O-box? Bellows with steo down ring, clamp? I'm using a set of Zeiss primes which extend slightly when focusing so I need somthing a little more flexable from the matte box to the lens and O-connor doesn;t seem to make anything... Unless I find a solution I might just sell the O-Box and get a Chrosziel with a rubber flex ring...

@Kindred, I recently ordered the O-Box from AbelCine, and the guys there recommended this for that setup:

OConnor Bellows Ring
OConnor Reduction Ring 114-110
Chrosziel 110mm Flexible Step-Down Ring (50mm to 85mm)

@Steve R I went with larger Zacuto Baseplate. I really was on the fence between that the mini. The larger one does extend from the base of camera about an inch
but I am happy with the purchase. I love the quality of the zacuto, very solid.

The zacuto universal baseplate is top notch for the AF100. I also just bought their mini baseplate for use on my hmc150 so I didn't have to keep switching the big universal one back and forth. They also have many other accessories to do just about anything. They are pricey, but have a lifetime warranty.

@Jaerin Awesome, I was looking at the Chrosziel 110mm Flexible Step-Down Ring last night but wasn't sure if it would actually work with the O-Box reduction rings, different threading or something... But oh man that just made my day. I'll give it a shot Thanks!!!

@Kindred - After I posted Abel called saying my order was ready for pickup. Here is the O-Box with the Chrosziel Flex Step Down. I mounted the smallest diameter lens I have just to see if it would be covered.

@Steve R - Not trying to hijack this thread! Just wanted to show my O-Box setup. Go with zacuto, you won't be disappointed!

Using Zacuto BP and rods. Hard to beat the quality. Though someone else on this board whom also has an AF100 and happens to live rather close got the Berkey set up and I admit to being surprised at the quality.

In addition I "still" use a cavision bellows mattebox Ive had for years and years - not sure why but I still love the look of the bellows. Not much chop for wide angle but anything from 20mm is fine.

Thank you very much! I already ordered my 114mm-110mm O-box stepdown ring (already have bellows) and the 110mm Chrosziel flex ring. This is exactly what I needed. :-) Looks like the Chrosziel flex ring perfectly screws right into into the O-box step down ring. What luck.
