So I have had my cam for about 24hrs now. And I love it. I shot a tune of stuff today testing the workflow and trying to get the frame rates dailed in. On my way home tonight I drove past a little leuge game. So I stopped and started filming. It was really dark and I was very happy to see how the camera delt with the light. So here is a little bit of the footage. Shot for about 10min so didn't get allot but it was fun. I think every one thought I was a scoutt. A couple of parents asked what school I was from

A little dark like you said, but nice footage. Now was this shot on tape or on the p2 cards? I want one so bad, but I'm waiting for the 1 gen. to pass.
 
That's some sweet footage. You have a smooth hand and perfect framing and composition.. Silky smooth and great use of 60fps.. which is sometimes too slow but matched nicely. Liked the track a lot too... who's that?


Also the baseball was pretty damn funny.. what was that first baseman thinking? Was very enjoyable and didn't see any grain. You shot this at 6db as well...? That's crazy cool... I've had mixed success with adding grain...

If this footage doesn't make ya want to get a cam, I don't know what will. It's a friggin' revolution....

Can't wait to shoot my son's T-ball this year. I already have been known to produce.. well the most over-produced kids sports, and pagent events in town. The wife drew the line when I talked about bringing out a steadicam rig for a soccer camp/tryout...

ahhh. I also noticed you are in UTah... Could you please shoot some scenic bizness and some timelapse. I miss that place.. and one of the most beautiful locations I've ever been to...

Where are you located in the state?
 
Very nice. I love how well the HVX handles slow motion. Probably one of my top 3 favorite features of the HVX over the DVX.

Thanks man the OSI Helps out allot. As for the track I stole it off the Marie Antwent trailer I think that is how it is spelled. It is Sophia Coplaes new pic. And as for it being to slow. I totaly argee with you I think 48 is good for most slowmotion

I was very supprised by how good the camera did with a 6db gain on it. I never ever shoot 6db usally you see noise all over. But not with this. I got out of my car and started shooting. That is just a testement of how good the camera handels

That sounds like some good stuff. I might go out this weekend and try to shoot more. Also as for shooting some sinic stuff in southern UT. I have already started and plane to do more. I am working on getting a real hosting solution I hate sticky pod.


Thanks guys glad you liked to footage. I still can't belive there is no noise and any noise that there is is added by compressior.
 
Maybe I should have saved the money that I spent on the DVX and put it toward the HVX.

Looks so dang nice for grab-n-go shooting. The wide open f-stop made a somewhat shallow DOF for you too. Good stuff. Funny watching how awkward some of the kids looked in their growing bodies. I was the worst at that age too.
 
Pro Swooping Tour has had a hard time in a lot of the thraeads reading :) Just givining ya a hard time. Welcome to the forums.
