I'm just looking over the scene files barry included on the cd along with his book, and noticed that his shutter angle is 360 degrees. Is this the typical shutter angle? I have it set now on 180 degrees and 1/60 on the shutter dial.
Am I reading the text files wrong? The syncro scan is also noted at 1786. Just trying to make sense of these numbers.

hmmm, sounds off to me.

I keep mine at 180 degrees., or sometimes 1/50th if i have any TV's or anything that might flicker.

Random question about shutter angle. Basically I have no idea what that means. Is that the same as shutter speed? I have been wanting to ask that question for a looking time. What is shutter angle?

What's does the angel mean?

Thanks!

That's what I've been doing too.
I bet it must translate a little different just viewing the .text files on a mac, compared to what the camera reads the file as.

The number in the scene file is not the actual degrees that the shutter is set to. Since the shutter can be set to half degrees, it would appear that the file is storing the number of half degrees as an integer.
