Barry, when will the test with the 4 cams be conducted?

And what kind of spread will you be having in your sandwiches...?

Well, everyone else is asking questions, so I thought I'd join in.

Heh! Heh! Seriously, I'm looking forward to the results!

Cheers Barry and those involved for the effort you're putting in.

PS. Can you make sure you have peanut-butter and chocolate spread, and just to be sure that the test isn't biased, add mayo to both of those.

This test is going to be a freaking blast. Can't wait for the results...but no matter what, I think people should learn to live in peace with their options and other peoples' options. I love these forums because they are such a huge source of usefull information, but some people come in here with such an agressive atitude, trying to convince them selves and the world about what is "best". Think about one thing, once you reach a certain level of quality, the results are relative to each persons' different taste (it's like debating which sensitivity of film is "the best"). Live and let live, my friends. Go shoot you projects!

Barry, I know its a lot to test all six cameras. Just one request. Can you evaluate the improvement of the SD version of the HVX. Being that you already tested the DVX100A, may be just a few notes on the improvements besides the point that it is a 16:9 chip. Just may be as a last test if you have time. Obviously, everyone is looking at the HD part of the HVX but it also shoots SD and I, as well as many users will shoot SD when its called for.

We'll be using the monitors the studio has available, which should be a 24" Sony CRT and the 23" Sony LCD, calibrated properly by their in-house technician.

no problems with not including the dvx, thanks for your reply Barry, you must really be under the hammer at the moment. Look forward to you findings, there will probably be an audible exhalation of air around the world once you post your findings. Cheers from the land from downunder to you and your collegues doing the testing....

Just finished, and on the road right now (I'm riding shotgun). We so thoroughly ran out of time, we ended up running three hours later than planned and still didn't get half the tests done that we wanted. And we found some eye-opening, startling things. I'll post another thread to talk about it.
