Couple of quick things Im not certain about....

Autofocus to ana conversion

The conversion numbers I assume put the focal plane on the subject. If I want to pull the focal plane forward as to push the subject further back in the DOF, is there a safe number I can use?

Pan Strobing in 24p

Does the time factors for pan apply to tilt as well? I know it seems like it should but my mind is telling me that vertical would be effected differently to horizontal.

Sorry last one

Smooth SLO MO

When I drag 60i or 30p into a 24p timelime I get a natural slowdown .... do I also need to then apply the speed reduction percentage?

Sorry if these sound stupid questions.. but I just cant find the answers.

I wouldn't recommend trying to pull the focal plane with the anamorphic adapter attached -- focus is tricky enough with that product. I'd say that as a practical matter, you're simply not going to get shallow DOF with the anamorphic adapter installed. It requires a deep f-stop or a wide-angle in order to focus properly; shallow DOF works at odds against that.

Tilting will strobe as well, yes.

As for slow-mo, what editor are you using? My comments were initially based on Sony Vegas, which employs no "natural slow-down". If your editing program already slows the footage down then there's no reason to slow it twice... but I would think it would be surprising that an editor would play back the footage at other-than-native speed by default...

Im using premier pro 1.5 ... when i import 60i to 24p I get a slow mo.....

Thanks for your help... really appreciate your response.
