Congrats Barry. I'm not sure how you have time for your 10k worth of invaluable knowledge, thoughts and research but congrats nontheless. This board is all the better for it.

seriously, that was classic! especially the ending.

from now on, i'm forever associating barry green with the snl parody of the "barry gibb talk show" featuring Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake.

I just watched that after being up all night doing the night shift... that was.....surreal...
 
An FYI, I beleive that the Ventures did this song originally in the early '60's. But the version that seems to "stick" in everyone's mind is Jim Thackery and the Drivers...has something to do with their version having been used as incidental music in a number of movies/series.
But for a hilarious version, definately taken from the Danish Boys in the vid, is SugarHill's send-up!
 
Cant believe I missed this thread. Anyway just wanted to say thanks barry for all your great advice, book etc. It has made my move to a dvx so much fu**ing easier. Had to swear otherwise I just cant get me point across.

As a complete forum slacker compared to Barry and many others hear, I was poking along enjoying the video and damn, there was name. But that was not the impressive stuff. What was really impressive was that my named was spelled right. Damn - that's truly something (even in the world of cut and paste it always gets screwed up).

People just can't handle two "u" - i don't how many people tell me, "two u's man, that's just weird" and I always reply "yeah, just like in vacuum"...

But seriously, i can't remember how many people I have sent to dvxuser confident the very best info about the DVX is here and i'm sure will be for the HVX.

Hey barry you should wear a "i am Barry green from DVXUSER.COM" Tshirt.

This way when DVXUSER members see you in the street, we can scream and beg you to sign our copies of your book, which we all carry around anyway.
 
So, I download your video. I'm on my wireless laptop laying in bed watching it when suddenly this monster face screams at me from the video. Damn, I almost soiled myself, my laptop went up in the air about a foot. Jeez Barry, ya got me.

Heh heh... well, what can I say? If that's the first time you've seen that thing, you obviously haven't been reading a lot of Rich Lee's posts. I put that bit in there as a tribute to Rich; he's one of our longtime members and his little zombie bits have definitely been enshrined in the history of DVXUser, plus he was the very first DVX Book order, so he deserved something special and I thought putting in his zombie would be the perfect tribute! :evil:
 
So Barry....where is my shout out? After all I did help hype that Apache video. *cough*
