That was Rush at EVS. We shot it at EVS. Rush had no idea what was going on behind him.

We'll find out in about a month. At the pace posts have been going recently, I should hit 20,000 sometime around mid-December! :P

That stupid zombie **** that popped up was madd gay....i was actually turned around getting something from behind me then I hear this fukcing scream...its like..BAHHH....then i turn around madddd fast and like snap my neck and i see nothing..then i rewind and i see the little fruityness of yellow stretched out picture being popped up.

Brilliant video, good job man and congrats on hitting the massive 10K. I would drink for everyone here to the next 10K but I'm still pissed at Barry for telling me to soak my DVX in distilled water for 24 hours to get that loose part sound to go away when it's turned off.

Thanks for having my name in the video Barry, what band is that anyway? I know the main guy ("Barry" in this case) from that signature picture I see around in some threads and I always thought it was taken out of some 70's safari documentary video or something.

Also, what is that zombie from? I know it was in the HVX200 veil video but is that a Buffy or Angel monster?
 
I stole the zombie from Rich Lee's excellent "The Veil Comes Off" mock-HVX commercial. I don't know where it comes from originally.

As for the main video, I don't know much about it -- just one of those things someone here on DVXUser posted a few months ago...

Personally, I thought it was taken from a fake car commercial ... the premise is that this small WMV file is e-mailed to you saying that a car commercial was shot in the same place that a kid was killed a year earlier. During the shooting some of the people swore they saw a ghost like figure pass in front of the car, as it drove down the road. Then the e-mail states that you may want to turn your speakers up louder so you can hear the quiet whisper of the camera man commenting in the background about the ghost figure. To give it more credibility, they say the final commercial was never shown, because of the unexplained phenomenon.

Long story short, I've got my face CRAMMED up next to the screen so I can see this tiny little ghost that's supposed to pass in front of the car (which is a LONG WIDE shot, so you assume it'll be small), not to mention my speakers CRANKED so I can hear this freakin' whisper.

After I screamed like a nine-year-old girl (yes, my daughter's age, so I know what it sounds like), and snapped my head back with enough force to drive a nail with one hit, I laughed outloud & couldn't wait to send it on to someone else.

Oh, to finish answering the Q, when least expecting it, the zombie pops out, with the commercial still in the background, making it look like it was filmed on site for this very purpose.

Too bad no one knows the real info on that cheesy 70's video. I'm dying to find out who it is.

I should have known there was trickery in the midst when I had to turn-up the video's volume so damn high. I have the original "screaming" video from the internet. As explained, it was a fake car VW-type car ad with a messed-up guy popping-in from out of frame screaming at high volume. The soundtrack on the one I have is in German, but I don't know the true origin.

Thanks for the laughs... and watch the geriatricide, will ya?
 
Nice dialog! Luckily I watched it with the volume down low and 'ol RichLee aka Zombie didn't piss me.

that one part of the video actually freaked me out only because i was on my good headphones and the freakin decibles went beyond its capacity.
