Barndoors for shop lights

I have four of those cheap yellow shop lights from a while ago. I tossed the in a box in my garage and didn't worry about them for the last two years as I also purchased a nice flourescent lighting kit X 2. Now I want more lights so I'd like to bring those shop lights into use.

I intend on painting the glass with a high temp thermal paint.
I already have a bunch of light stands that I can use.

I am looking for a barn door kit that would allow me to attach to those shop lights.

I am also looking for a standard light stand (c-stand) clamp/connector that I could screw into those lights as well to complete the conversion.

Have any of you ever done this and can reccomend the parts so that I can do this?

Thank you,

There are DIY barndoor plans around the web for shop lights, google it. Haven't heard about retail kits, but I only use shop lights for remodeling... a roll of blackwrap foil may do the trick.

Don't know why you'd paint the glass though...

To mount the shop lights on a stand - if they have yokes - search for a TVMP adapter - get the avenger vs. the matthews (a "real" knob vs. a thumbscrew). Smith Victor (and others) make something similar to TVMP, but lighter and cheaper - 5/8 stand-sized spud with a 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 threaded stud, adorama stocks them (adorama stuff seems easier to find using amazon's search though). TVMP could be overkill on a shop light.
