Here is a piece that was shot with the original DVX and an SG PRO 35mm adapter.

The Baldwin Street Tattoo Company was located on the edge of Kensington Market in downtown Toronto, and these are the lunatic antics of it's two artists -- Mean Gene and Wolf Bullet.

Documented over a five week course by me.

Please enjoy.

hmmm unique, intertaining and interesting at times. Different life style than I live. What is up woth the barrel affect that cuts diagonal from the top left corner in the begining of the video?

Thanks Kevmo. That barrel effect is a goof on my part that I've been very conscious of since. It's the result of not zooming out far enough when using a 35mm adapter -- it's the inside of the adapter you're seeing. Oops.

I fast forwarded a bit through the entire film.

I kind of liked the style.
Very raw and realistic:)

Keep it up man!

much thanks, tommetass.

it was something like a year ago, that some of your videos actually (in addition to a few others on this forum), convinced me to get the sg pro.

fine work to you too.

Deff cool, what were you shooting in so i can get and idea, im picking up my first dvx this week.

Thanks

i shoot in 24pa with a 35mm adapter. i also use three led lights, which were about 70 dollars a pop, that you can slide into the camera's shoe (is that what it's called). helps to light the subject.

i do my first round of colour correction in premiere pro. from there, i run it through magic bullet in after effects. then i compress the thing using sorenson squeeze.

good luck with your first dvx. my only regret with my dvx is that i picked up the original 100 (not a or b) thinking it had squeeze mode. so make sure you get the b.
