Bald River Gorge Wilderness - Panasonic GH 4

Bald River Gorge Wilderness is a 3,721-acre wilderness area in the Cherokee National Forest near Tellico Plains, Tennessee. I spent a few days hiking on the Bald River Trail capturing the scenic beauty of the area from the headwaters to it’s terminus with the Tellico River.

Shot with the Panasonic GH4 camera at 1080p, 60fps and 200mbps. Standard and Cine-V profile. Lenses used were the Panasonic 14-45mm, 45-175mm and Olympus 60mm macro lens. Edited with Edius 5.51 and encoded for the web using Windows Media Video 9.

Nice stuff.

Kinda curious though, at 1:04 in, the yellow-orange flower shot, there seems to be some purple/pink pixelation going on around the flower petals and around the center of the flower (bulb?). Is that in the original footage or could that be the result of the compression?

Also, I'm sure those shots of the water flowing down the rocks look amazing, but man, online compression really kills the detail.

Good eye for seeing details. The purple/pink pixelation on the flower is not in the original footage and yes online compression on the water is a real downer.

Not far at all. After exploring N.GA for twenty years I have about seen it all and am branching out to other states. You folks in TN have some really beautiful places.

Certainly do! I moved here after spending a few years in Colorado. I loved the mountains and open spaces of the west, but I missed the greens and waterfalls of the southeast!
