Balancing A7S on DJI Ronin

I recently started using my A7S in conjunction with a DJI Ronin gimbal. I have the Movcam cage on the A7S and a Kessler Quick Release system on the Ronin for easy on and off access. I can balance the setup but Autotune just makes the whole thing freak out. It's happiest when Tilt stiffness at 18 (Autotune sets it to 58). I'm thinking it needs more backweight to be happy. Tested a RED Epic on the same rig and Autotune worked great.

Any ideas on how to get Autotune to be happy?

It has been noted by some Ronin experts elsewhere (I'm thinking Youtube) that Autotune Stability does not work properly with lightweight dslr's and mirrorless cams. So, you need to manually dial in the stiffness to around 20-30. If 18 makes your rig happy, stick with it.

Thanks guys! It's odd that they advertise Autotune as working ok with all cameras. In fact, everyone I've asked to this point always suggests Autotuning first. Glad to hear that others don't suggest this. Btw- would you recommend removing the A7s from the Movcam cage I have it in?
