Bad time for Final Cut Studio 2?

No- it's an honor system. Also if two machines with the same license are on the same network, one will quit if the other launches. But it will not erase.

I only plan to install it on my Powerbook G4 (That I have already) and the new Mac Pro or iMac that I buy. I believe you are able to install on 1 Laptop and 1 Desktop system via the Licence Agreement.

Actually no- it's one computer per license- period. But that's on the honor system so it's your call. Qmaster can be run on multiple machines though.

So what, exactly, is it that I need to prove that I legally bought my version of FCP 3? I have it loaded on my comp. I have all the manuals... I think the box is somewhere in my parents basement, and God knows where the receipt is...

I really hope so... If you click on 'About This Software' where it says 'Licensed To' Your name and then that's the serial number under that, right?
