Bad stream or unexpected packet ERROR

Someone please help!

I have a group of MTS files that will not preview, open or convert. Everytime I try to do anything to them, open or preview I get the error message "Bad stream or unexpected packet"

I have EDIUS and the Canopus Converter.

I can see the files in Vegas explorer I just can preview them or edit them.

Also, I am not sure if this help but I use the NEXTO Extreme. I transfered the files from the SD. Instead of going into a regular folder with the date they went into a TMP folder. Again, I can see the files I just can't do anything with them. This was footage of a baby shower, that I can't shoot over :(

Do you still have it on the card? can it be played in the camera? If so.. then you might be able to recapture it through the HDMI or such....

I had issues with my Panasonic cards so those are now useless pieces of plastic. Both of those died within a month of each other and the much cheaper transcend cards have lasted twice a long.. So much for reliablity.
