Bad Iris Dial

My 100A is about 3 years old, and my iris dial has started to act weird. In the 2.8 to 5.6 range it seems to have a mind of its own, Ex. I will be slowing shutting down the iris and it gets to the bad spot in the dial and completely OPENS the iris, as I am dialing down. Has anyone experienced this. If so is it a ship to Panasonic? I'm assuming so. Thanks for any imput

Yes, it's been reported here a couple of times, the consensus seems to be that the iris dial needs a bit of cleaning inside. An authorized service center should be able to set you right.
 
Dirt on the iris dial circuitry. Dirty potentiometer or something. For a quick fix, scroll it up and down super fast to dislodge the dirt, or use some electronics cleaner.

Safest (and best for the long term) bet: repair center.
