Bad image... Pic inside

Hey coffee, ive seen that before. but it happened before i ever bought my DVX. i took a tape to B&H and stuck it in every camera they had to see what was best. the DVx footage looked like that. After a few minutes of shooting though it returned to normal. i dnt know what caused it to thsi day, but ive seen it before.......lol. maybe the head slipped out of alignment for a second or something... try cleaning the heads.

I actually havethe grabs saved on my tother computer. when i get teh chance, i will post it so yo ucan see and compare.

Also are you using a 24p native timeline? cause it oculd be because youre running 60ipullDown footage. tht causes funniness sometime till you make the frames progressive agin.

I have had the same thing happen to me but after sending it out to Compressor and DVDSP, it looked fine on my TV. Perhaps you could take open the "bad" clip in another sequence, send that to Compressor (that way it doesn't take forever to do the compression thing), then burn a DVD to check out the results. I just had to do something like that this morning to check out a perceived problem I was having with my titling sequence. It was bad on the computer monitor and the TV until after sending it to Compressor and making a DVD. Then it looked great.

I don't know if you've resolved your problem yet (probably) but when you send it out to the TV do you go through a deck or camera? or just straight from the computer? I use as Canon ZR100 as a deck and go through it to the TV. I don't get the jagged lines on the TV that I have on the computer.

What affect would the detail settings have on the jaggies? would switching to thick make them less noticable? I've been having this problem with my DVX since day one.
