Bad compression Errors with Mov files

I have done a major shoot with the HVX. I have taken all of my MXF files and converted them into quicktime mov files. I am editing in FCP 5.0.4 with a kona LH card. I am monitoring the video on a sony XRB TV. When I look at my image on the HD TV screen it is really splotchy especially in the blacks. I also crossed checked it with the quicktime player and I am seeing the same thing. It looks like it has been heavily compressed, but I did the import into FCP from the P2 cards. Any one have any ideas why this is happening?

Not sure on this, but just cause you mention the blacks, wondering, what is your pedastal at? Any chance its really low?
