Bad 7D Aliasing - LED lights?

Wow, that is very good. So what temporal smoothing and/or deflickering algorithms did you use? I am on a Mac, if you are not, are their Mac equivalents? Thanks.

I used virtualdub's temporal smoother in that example. Avisynth has a bunch of filters that could help to improve this type of scenario as well

Sorry, I'm not sure what the equivalent would be on a Mac. I'm sure FCP should have some filters for flickering, perhaps try those. Some Mac users use virtualization software like virtualbox to access PC programs like avisynth and vdub

But would you agree that your example is slightly different than the OP's problem ? Both have to do with LED lighting and frequencies, but I doubt his is treatable in post. It's hard to say definitively from a single still. Maybe if he posted a short video sample

Thanks. Yes. It does appear to be different. Stage light LEDs (dimmable) are bad mojo for CMOS sensors it seems.
