Backpack for DVX100?.

I second the OGIO Ty Video bag. I have had mine for a few months now and is more comfortable than any other bag I have owned. Ogio is not a skateboard company. They are a bag specific company that happened to make a photo bag and a video bag that are endorsed by photo and video proffesionals in skateboarding. The Attiba bag that you are talking about was made by Emerica, a skateboard shoe and clothing company. It was also designed for still photography, not video. Once again, I highly recomend the Ogio Ty Evens video bag

ogio is not a skateboard company but they market themselves towards skateboarding. i bought the bag, i feel its kinda of cheeply made, but it does work well. it fits the dvx very good, with lots of room for accesories. i still prefer my lowepro nature trekker for my dvx so thats what i use. if anyone wants to buy an ogio bag, pm me.

I use a KATA back pack and its the best one i have ever had. Of course its over 300$ but worth every cent

I've been using the Lowe-Pro Mini-Trekker since I got my DVX and it's a great pack. It looks like a normal daypack and it doesn't have a monster hip belt with a bunch of hardware like some of the other photo packs I've seen. It's extremely well-made and the inside is completely customizable. I've yet to see anything comparable and I'm a total photo bag junkie.

The Burton Zoom pack looks intriguing, but seems to be completely unavailable. Extensive goggleing and froogleing turned up zero in stock. I couldn't even find one on eBay--which means there are none in the known universe :-). Not that I need another bag but where can I find one, Jarred?

Barry, would you recommend at Mini-Trekker for the DVX100B model? Also, can the DVX rest horizontally in the pack?

the mini trekker is too shallow to hold the dvx. you'll need a larger bag like a nature trekker or photo trekker

I use the Lowepro Photo trekker AW mkII.
It's huge, but fits everything very nicely.
Plenty of room for the camera and various accessories, plus straps on the back or side (depending on how you configure it) for a tripod.

If you want to go to the lengths that namy natural history crews do, then a peli case with backpack mount will do the job well.
It really is very much down to personal choice. A bag that will suit you down to the ground may well be somone else's worst nightmare.
