Backing up to another location

Has anyone had success backing up their files to another location? For example I have a MAC PRO, and I want to backup my files to a HDD I have sitting at a friends house 15 miles away.

1. Can this be done using either Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper?

2. Can this be done if one computer is a MAC and other PC?

I will do a backup through FireWire first. Then do incremental from there on out.

Any suggestions?

It can easily be done if the computer has an always on internet connection. I'm in the midst of setting up a similar thing with a Buffalo NAS. If the drive is hooked up to a Mac, it's really simple to do. If its on a PC, then it's still doable, but I'm not sure how easy it is. In this case, Google is your friend. Also look at dyndns.org so you can give it a URL instead of having to remember a long IP address.
