GH4 Backing up SD cards to WD My Passport Wireless

is it confirmed that you can just plug in an SD card, and the hard drive will back it up without a computer? i've read reviews and no one has commented on this.

and how do you confirm that it has been backed up properly?

if a laptop is required, then, it doesn't really matter that it's wireless, as the wired USB 3.0 speeds are 6x the wireless speeds according to reviews.

my hope is that this drive is my answer to working for a client, making a copy of the footage for myself without needing to bring a laptop, and then handing the SD card to the client, but i can't tell until i get my hands on one.
 
Also waiting to test this device in the field. I just want to be able to back up the video files from my GH4 cards w/o a laptop or a NEXTO.
I don't expect it to be able to playback video. Also curious how long it takes to download cards.
