Background video brainstorming

Schmovies production

Well-known member
I'm producing a background video for a jewels brand presentation party.
It will last three minutes circa, it has no concept, it will loop furiously and it will contain some product stills and video.
I started putting together some images.
What do you think?
Isnt the traffic timelapse too deja vù?
Is the fast editing a good way to go?
Is my bandwidth fast enough? (i got a new site...)

Thank you for your frank replys

(all shots made with a 30D. The rest will be shot with an hvx so i assumed no problems to post here)

I took a peek and it looks good. It downloaded OK. Nice timelapse movement
My opinion on traffic timelapse: Although some years ago you saw a lot of them, the frequency has gone down dramaticaly. Besides I think traffic timelapses convey the rushed urban/city nightlife feeling very well if that's what you're going for. I like 'em. On the other hands don't know if the rushed feel will go very well with the product stills... I guess it depends from the approach. Good luck

no, i have to take dreamweaver lessons....
i overwrite the mov with a smaller one, the internet crashed in the meanwhile and now it wont take the mov back. i'm fixing it... fixed.

Looks nice.... indeed. Like the moving timelapse quite a bit and the driving stuff looked cool.. Nice chick footage as well. I'd like to see more of this... How did you pull off the moving timelapse?

nice stuff. Friend of mine has finished his electronic music documentary.. lots of stuff like this in there. You can check him out at www.headspacemovie.com

more?

This was shot with a 30D? (Canon 30D still camera)? I'm new to some of these tricks.. how do you record this with a still camera? (if that's the case)

That whole piece is nice, The music goes very well with the whole sequence.

NiCe!!!

I got some timelapse stuff shot with my Rebel XT on my site..

Schmovies,

Can you discribe the process a little bit? Like, how many shots per second. Also, you just paste the shots behind each other or blend them with opacity?

wawaii,
you should have expressed your opinion (a kind one better) before avidly asking the secrets behind such a misterious technology.
This magic trick is called timelapse. Plenty of explanation better than mine in this forum, in the net and in the sacred text.
Camera set: 2secs, one shot after another, take as many shots you want, one shot is one frame, 25 fps, if you take 75 shots you have a three seconds
clip.
you open after effects, import footage as a sequence, done.
very simple
