I wanted to post this up and see what you guys think. The goal is to make it look a little bit believable. This is a BG Plate for a scene for an educational thing I'm doing.

Nice job! I'd make the rocket in the center have just a TOUCH more gaussian blur, as it seems to "pop" a little too much. Perhaps the office in the foreground as well, so the focus/DOF is more at about the rocket that's on the left of the screen ... otherwise, just play around with the look of the DOF a little more, but other than that it's pretty convincing.

Looks really good. The wall's perspective is off a little. It's contrasting with the horizontal lines in the rafters a little too much.

Other than that, excellent job!

I like it maybe some kind of moalding on top of the office would make if look more like it was built there. I like the pictures good tuch and the MAC tools logo

Thanks for all your comments guys, I'll take another pass at it with the suggestions you guys gave and I'll re-post it with the changes. I agree with Norm about putting more of a blur on the center rocket and I like the idea of adding the molding, thanks imgentertainmet@mac!

oneinfiniteloop, your ponit is well taken with the rafters. I totally agree with you. If you can find me another hanger to work with I'll be more than happy to replace the existing one.

Wow! awesome stuff guys! Thanks very much for the great feedback!

I think it's pretty cool what you've done. Oneinfiniteloop was correct in his observation.

As Mikko referenced... Now, the office pops too much. Is that what you want the center of attention to be?

I think you need to effect the perspective of the 'office' to better match the other guiding lines. Also, the shadow at the bottom left of the office seems a bit much and possibly out of place.

Having said all that, I think you're onto something good here.

I think everything looks good. And I think the molding works Looks like it has a roof not nust a wall. But maybe a small blur on it so It looks farther back in the pic not so up front.

Try some kind of corner pinning to get the perspective right.

What program are you using for this, Photoshop, AE?

I used PhotoShop for this. I'll give it another go with your guys suggestions and we'll see how it comes out! Thanks again guys. This is why I love this forum!:love4:

Well, in Photoshop, select the wall layer and hit Ctrl T (Cmd T on a Mac:)), then right click the wall and go to free transform-->perspective and see if you can get it right that way.

Thanks man, I'll give that a try!

yeah the perspective is definitely wrong on the office, and i see you did a blur on the rockets in the backgroundl. good move.

i dont ike the lighting on the office, in that environment theres not gonna be a lot of shadow, especially not in the lower corner.

also the first toolbox has no depth it looks ilke a cardboard cutout.

Looking good, I'd agree with the comments about the office popping a little too much. Also, my eye gravitated toward the ceiling where in my opinion you've blurred a little too much. Focus should be planar right? So theoretically the ceiling above the in-focus office should also be more in focus than farther back? I also think maybe the red of the toolboxes looks a little too bright (so it draws your eye there). Keep goin', it's looking good.
