good job on the lighting of the CG computer panel. What software did you do the hardbody dynamics calculation in? Or was it just keyframed?

cool man, i love the light fall off in that image.

are you going to do something with the 3d hologram during that cool hissing noise as it turns on? that sound effect makes me feel like something should be opening or unfolding...

Thanks. That sound was supposed to be for something opening but no time for that, Im going to have to change the sounds instead. I used Lightwave to do the dynamics with a plugin called Impact. I tried using the built in simulations but the manuals didnt describe how to get it going to well. Tomorrow i have to go drop something to get the sound for the tablet drop. We have a few of those at the office but I think they would flip if i took one and dropped it a few times. I want to put a glow around her like your Sho' Enuff' dude Rich and maybe something like nutrons spinning around her to go with the particles.

actually the whole thing is slowed a little. I dont know if you can tell when she walks out but its slowed down to about 75% the original speed. Sort of just enough to give it mystical feeling. Plus it was like the first simulation i tried and because of time limits i have to go with this one. The shadows took up alot of time to match the background. Im pretty happy with it for a few days hard work. Now to fix it up and start the next scene... Looks like ill be sleeping at work again this weekend. :(

Also what is this part of? Short film? Feature film? or just test?

Its just a DVD intro for a software company, I have to have the whole thing finished by monday because I have a ton of other things to do by wednesday plus burn 20 DVDs. This clip is almost finished, just need one more sound of the tablet dropping. I went and recorded some sounds but they just dont feel right so im off to go drop some others things in the office.

i love recording sound that makes you look like a crazy person. lol. for my short i was covering my mouth and screaming at the top of my lungs.
the things we do for our art. ;)

What software packages did you use for the 3D and for the compositing?

Oppressor...rock on man...it looks very sweet ass...I am sure the software company will be surprised by the quality you have provided them with. As always...AWESOME WORK!
