This is a slightly odd question...
The backfocus on my DVX100a is slightly off (i.e. the backfocus of the DVX's built-in zoom lens... nothing to do with a 35mm adapter). I've taken the decision not to have it repaired because the problem is not too bad so I can work around it and because I'm going to put the money saved towards a nice Marshall LCD monitor (i.e. if I can precisely judge focus on the Marshall then I can make sure my DVX is always in focus even though it has a slight backfocus issue).
As I understand it, having a slightly off backfocus on my DVX wont affect me at all when I'm using a 35mm adapter - is this true? My theory is that when using a 35mm adapter, the DVX's internal lens will never change focal length so its backfocus shouldn't be an issue. Is this correct?
Many thanks,
Jack
