hi, i think i have backfocus issue in my dvx100b?
if i zoom in, lock focus and zoom out, it gets out of focus. but its ok to me and not a big problem..
but... does it affects to something else, for example to wide shots or something else? or to picture overall quality, sharpness, etc?

sometimes i get very crisp and clear long distance shots, sometimes its all blurry and smudgy and loses lots of details and looks like havin 10x glow filters on the lense. what can cause this huge quality change?
for sure, i know its not about the light because sometimes i get very crisp lots of detail shots in very low light and sometimes under bright sunlight long distance shots looks very blurry and glowwy soft...
picture quality varies so much, its like picking up randomly quality.. sometimes excellent, sometimes under cheap handycam quality.. this really bothers me, please help

You must swing a-lot between auto-settings and manual settings ... To take any scene you need to make sure everything is under your control ... DVX gives you settings to enable/disable in auto. When DVX switches to auto it goes for those settings which are set as enable only. Just disable those settings which you always want to do manually from auto-settings.

This happens to me too. I am convinced it is a back focus problem and it sucks, but the huge DoF of the DVX keeps me from getting it fixed.

I've had my camera for 2 years now and I can't complain about the back focus .
I also zoom out , focus and zoom in . Everything still looks good .

Not sure why some seem to have issues and others don't .
