Back Focus

My DVX100 is a bit soft when I zoom out. Is there a way to set the back focus on my camera. I've never had a manual for my camera so I can't look there for info.
 
There is no way for you to manually set your back focus. If it's a real problem, it has to be taken care of by an authorized service center.

Thanks for the reply. From what you're telling me, it's an optics issue. That's what I would think but I didn't know if there was some type of digital processing that might be involved.
 
I really recommend doing a factory reset of your camera. I had a huge back focus problem, where I couldn't get any sharpness anywhere really, and although I was really sure it was either a optical problem or mechanical problem (since the camera also made som strange mechanical sound.) it turned out to be software related, and a factory reset made the problems go away.

It might not help in your case, but it doesn't hurt to try! =)
