Back Focus Setting on DVX100

I had a problem with the DVX100 and sent it for repair. However when it came back its back-focus wasn't set correctly.

Does anyone know how to set the camera's back focus?

I am trying to do this myself (through a qualified engineer) as I would have to resend the camera to singapore (from Malta) and it is too costly!

Any help??

Thanks

Mark

Mark.

As far as I know, you can't adjust the backfocus on a fixed lens camera. Once you start fooling around with internal electronics, regardless of how technical one may be, you're playing with serious consequences, not to mention losing your warranty.

I would contact your sales rep or Panasonic directly.

My camera had backfocus problem straight out of the factory. I had to get it fixed at a panasonic service center. Your repair person must have screwed up and messed up the back focus. take it back and have it re-adjusted.

How do you know if you have a back focus problem? Sorry, hate to ask, thought I was past the stupid questions phase, but it seems not.

Thanks in advance.

If you zoom in, set focus, and then zoom out...

if your back focus is set properly, the image will still be in focus.

If your image goes out of focus when you zoom out, your back focus is off.
