B4 Lens with AF100

Many people have used the ENG lenses on the AF100. Do a Google advanced search on this site for 'b4' and you should find several threads on the topic. Many are satisfied with the results and some find the edges too soft to be useful. Your search will give you several samples of video.

Here are two examples of an old Fujinon. I suspect newer lenses perform better.

Here is a thread that discusses 2/3" lenses:

For an extreme and ridiculous example:

I'm looking into doing the same with my af100, since I have four 2/3" lenses that I'd like to get some use out of. There is a group on Facebook, "B4 to MFT" that have a lot of experience in this area. It's a closed group, so you'll need to request to join, if interested.
Here is a link to one that Abel Cine put together...their adapters are pricey.

Keep us updated.

I have a B4 lens and adapter for my AF. Also got a battery for servo zoom and the cable so you can use the start/stop button on the servo zoom. Its ok. Doesn't come close to the image quality of even the cheap Lumix glass. Lots of chromatic abrasion on the edges. At least that as been my experience. It does look might impressive though. Only wish it performed as well as it looked.

This is why it is worth it to look into the AbelCine- IB/E HDx2 optical adapter.

If you have some very nice 2/3" lenses then I would totally agree.

If you have a lens like mine, which I got off ebay for less than $150, spending $4,500 on an optical adapter is just silly.
