This is my most recent short. Finished it recently, though we started way back in November. Most of it was just me shooting the main character, but somehow it was always hard to set up. I'm still trying to find the best way to work out schedules. This should've taken a week at most, but for some reason we could never get together.

I also tried my hand at a little more sophisticated audio work in preparation of a longer movie I plan to shoot soon. I used an H4n to record footsteps, city noise, running water, almost all the sound effects, but in several shots I used the sound I recorded when shooting.

The black and white was just an effect applied, and I'd like to experiment more with shooting in different settings and lighting to achieve a more realistic black and white.

I'd appreciate any feedback. The shorts I've been doing lately have been in preparation for a longer movie I'm directing that I know is going to be TONS of work.

Cool images. Some of them had a emotional effect and did not feel like a amatuer DVX video . I would add in next time to one of your films a emotional story principle. The principle is you show a shift in the value of a characters experience. At the beginning establish a set of values that are in the negative. For example like in 8 mile which is on TV right now, Eminem has no respect and is scared to rap publicly. At the end he puts those specific values in the positive. He overcomes his stagefright, defeaths his opponents, and gains respect from his neighborhood. So if you implement this negative to positive shift plus combine it with your cool french new wave cinema verite visual style you may make something which has some substance to it and is just not a video to show stylish images, which still seems to me a great place to start practicing.
