HI,

Is there anybody who can give some advice\who has some experience shooting B&W with the HVX.
Any advice (useing filters, technical functions e.c.t..) would be very helpfull.
What i want to achieve is to have rich blacks and (of course) to get a nice b&w filmlook.
I would like to create as much as possibel through the camera and less as possibel at the postprod. .....

One way to achieve richer blacks when shooting in black and white is to use a color filter on the front of your lens. They reduce certain colors and accentuate others, and thereby enhance or reduce the contrast of certain portions of the subject. This technique can create very lush effects when shooting B+W. It's similar to the use of polarizers when you're shooting in full color.

Tiffen has a pretty good page on their filter website that has a few examples for you to see the effects of using different color filters when shooting black and white:

Hope that helps you some.
